Benzi lotta contro le critiche in provincia: "Street empty of workers, yet he employs indoors"

despite repeated requests for more road operators, the shortage persists, with the Province currently lacking 59 operators for road maintenance. This situation has led to damaged roads, patched-up interventions, and construction sites that start but remain blocked.

Despite this reality, President Luigi Benzi has recently appointed an assistant to the presidency. The appointment, which will cost around 12,000 euros a year, is intended to handle internal and external relations and relational activities.

The opposition councillors Chiesa and De Angelis have expressed their disapproval, viewing this appointment as a slap in the face to good administration and local communities. They believe that the real emergency does not concern new offices or staff positions, but rather the lack of experienced road operators.

In response, the opposition councillors have appealed to other political forces in the majority to address the road maintenance issue. They argue that the appointment of the assistant to the presidency is an incomprehensible choice given the current crisis.

The problem of abandoned construction sites and unsafe roads could worsen with the arrival of the stagione brutta. In an effort to monitor the situation, councillors Chiesa and De Angelis plan to diligently monitor provincial construction sites.

This issue is present throughout the entire province, making it a matter of concern for all residents. The opposition councillors' hope is that the majority will recognise the urgency of the situation and take appropriate action to rectify it.
