Rodriguez's RBI double contributed to this lead, scoring two runs and establishing a commanding advantage. The inning was highlighted by back-to-back homers from Jorge Polanco and Josh Naylor.

Cal Raleigh, who is closing in on a historic achievement, added to the Mariners' tally with a three-run homer in the ninth inning. This homer brings Raleigh within one of tying Mickey Mantle's single-season record for home runs by a switch hitter.

Luis Castillo, il partente dei Mariners, ha avuto una buona uscita dopo una serie di quattro deludenti. Ha pitching six innings, allowing one run on four hits, six strikeouts, and no walks. Despite being struck in the right wrist by a 100-mph liner, Castillo showed resilience and determination.

The Mariners' offence was not limited to just a few players. Nine different players had at least two hits in the game, and the team amassed a season-high 20 hits in total. Eugenio Suarez, who hit two home runs in the game, was a key contributor, bringing his season total to 45.

Atlanta's starter, Joey Wentz, struggled, working only 2 1/3 innings and allowing eight runs. The Braves' defence was unable to contain the Mariners' onslaught, with Arozarena plating two more runs with a single in the third inning, and Castillo giving up one homer, a solo shot to Jurickson Profar.

The Mariners' offence continued to pour in runs in the ninth inning, scoring seven more to cement their dominant victory. This victory marks a significant milestone for the team, with the Mariners setting a season-high for runs scored in a game.

In the 2025 season, Cal Raleigh of the Seattle Mariners would go on to tie Mickey Mantle's record for most home runs by a switch-hitter in a single season with 54 homers. This matches Mantle's 1961 record with the New York Yankees. Raleigh also set a record with 43 home runs as a catcher that season, exceeding the previous record set by Javy López in 2003.

This impressive win marks a turning point in the Mariners' season, and they will look to carry this momentum into their next game.
