However, the service adjustments have not been without controversy. Riders have found the changes in schedules difficult to manage, and some are unhappy about the upcoming fare hikes, scheduled to rise from $2.50 to $2.90. Fortunately, a temporary injunction has stopped this increase for the time being.
The order affecting all SEPTA services also includes a mandate for SEPTA to reverse all service cuts, as ordered by a judge. Yet, it remains unclear when SEPTA will enact the fare hike or reverse the service cuts and reductions that are already in effect.
