Potenziale carenza d'acqua a Bönkhausen?

Nel pittoresco villaggio di Bönkhausen, situato nella zona di Sundern, è in corso un progetto contestato per un parco eolico. Il parco eolico, sviluppato da Trianel Wind e Solar, fa parte di un progetto più ampio con più turbine previste.

despite the ongoing legal challenge by local resident Peter Nuttebaum, construction work on the initial 12 turbines is currently in progress. Bönkhausen, which is not connected to the public drinking water network, relies on a nearby forest spring for water. Mr. Nuttebaum has expressed concerns about the potential impact of the wind farm on this water supply.

Mr. Nuttebaum, a resident of Sundern, has filed a lawsuit against the Hochsauerlandkreis over these concerns. The permit for the wind turbines in the Sundern wind park was granted by the local authority, but Mr. Nuttebaum argues that the approval process did not adequately address the potential risks to the water supply.

Trianel, the company responsible for the wind farm, has declined to comment on Mr. Nuttebaum's lawsuit. However, they have presented a study showing no danger to the water supply from the wind turbines. The Hochsauerlandkreis, for their part, have not made any comment on the matter.

The lawsuit by Mr. Nuttebaum is currently ongoing, with no court hearing scheduled as of yet. If a water shortage were to occur in Bönkhausen, the responsibility and cost of installing an expensive drinking water pipeline would initially fall on the pubblico, according to Sundern's utility CEO, Jürgen Schwarberg. Mr. Schwarberg did not specify who would ultimately bear the costs of such a pipeline.

Bönkhausen is one of seven households in the village that have been drawing water from the forest spring for decades. The nearby wind farm, expected to start generating power by the end of 2026, is a significant development for the Sundern area. However, for Mr. Nuttebaum and his fellow villagers, the future of their water supply remains uncertain.
