"Phu Tho sarà promossa come centro di sviluppo nazionale"
In the heart of Vietnam, Phú Thọ province is preparing for an exciting future. With a clear vision and a strong sense of purpose, the province is poised to make significant progress in various sectors over the next decade and beyond.
The province's leadership, led by Member of the Central Party Committee and Secretary of the Phú Thó Provincial Party Committee, Đặng Xuân Phong, has set ambitious targets for economic growth, infrastructure development, and cultural preservation.
One of the key areas of focus is the economy. Phú Thọ aims to achieve an average gross regional domestic product (GRDP) growth rate of 7.5 per cent per year from 2021 to 2025. To achieve this, the province will prioritise high-tech agriculture, with a focus on developing green, circular commodity agriculture linked with One Commune One Product (OCOP) products and sustainable value chains.
In the tourism-cultural sector, Phú Thó will leverage the value of the Hùng Kings' heritage, festivals, and Mường culture, developing a national spiritual and cultural complex. The province aspires to transform into a national and international centre for industry, services, and tourism, closely associated with the heritage of the Hùng Kings.
The province's agriculture will focus on safety, organic production, and high-tech application, with a goal of building many communes to advanced and exemplary new rural standards. To support this, a pilot model for high-quality rice cultivation linked to the Que Lam Group will be established in 2024, providing subsidised fertilizers and adapting procedures to local conditions to ensure two harvests per year and reduce production costs.
Phú Thó is also planning to develop modern infrastructure and promote regional connectivity. The master plan up to 2030 with a vision to 2050 prioritises the expansion of the Việt Trì urban core, connecting with neighbouring cities, and investing in inter-regional expressways. The province will also develop modern logistics systems, goods transport centres, and service hubs to transform Phú Tho into a key trading hub in the northwest of the capital.
The atmosphere throughout the province is enthusiastic, vibrant, and filled with responsibility. The consensus and aspiration among officials, Party members, and people is a great strength for the province's breakthrough in the coming period. The biggest lesson for the Party Committee's leadership in the next term is to maintain unity and solidarity, rely on the people, stay closely connected to the people, and act for the people.
Looking further ahead, by 2045, Phú Thó will become a centrally governed city, with a modern appearance, sustainable economic development, a prosperous society, and a liveable environment. The province will promote the green and circular agricultural economy, fostering linkages between farmers, enterprises, cooperatives, scientists, and the State.
The province is bustling with flags and flowers, filled with pride. As Phú Thó moves forward, it is clear that the province is committed to building a 'Compact - Strong - Efficient - Effective' Party Committee capable of leading the province during its breakthrough phase. The province will also innovate leadership methods, promoting the exemplary role of key officials, and encouraging a mindset that dares to think and act.
The Phú Thó Provincial Party Congress is taking place on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2. As the province embarks on this new journey, it is a time of great anticipation and excitement for the people of Phú Thó.
