In una recente svolta, un comitato cittadino di Salisburgo, in Austria, ha approvato un progetto edilizio di Wolfgang Porsche, presidente del consiglio di sorveglianza di Porsche Automobil Holding SE e Porsche AG, e nipote del pioniere dell'automobilismo Ferdinand Porsche. Il progetto comprende un garage sotterraneo sotto la sua residenza sul Kapuzinerberg, un sito storico, nonché un tunnel privato lungo 500 metri come strada di accesso.

Despite the opposition, the Social Democratic SPÖ, the conservative ÖVP, and the right-wing FPO have approved the project without separately examining the tunnel. Martin Zauner (FPO) is responsible for spatial planning in the state government and has indicated a basic positivity towards the underground access to the villa, which was once the location of piano lessons given by Mozart's sister Nannerl, and was also home to the author Stefan Zweig.
As of now, Wolfgang Porsche has not made any public statements regarding the project. The project is not final yet, as it still needs to be submitted to the federal state of Salzburg for approval.
