Apple iPhone 17 Event Announced for September 9, 2025
Apple has announced that its annual fall event will take place on September 9, 2025. The keynote will be held at Apple Park in Cupertino, California, and will be streamed live on Apple's website, the Apple TV app, and Apple's YouTube channel starting at 10 a.m. PT (19:00 CET).
At the event, Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 17 lineup. According to the latest rumours, the baseline model could boast a higher refresh rate, while the Pro model may feature a scratch-resistant, antireflective display and an 8x telephoto lens. The iPhone 17 Air is rumoured to have a slim profile and lightweight design, similar to the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. The iPhone 17 Pro Max could have a bigger battery.
In addition to the new iPhones, the event could also include the Apple Watch Series 11 and the AirPods Pro 3. Apple might discuss other Apple Intelligence updates and features arriving on its new devices.
iOS 26, the latest version of Apple's mobile operating system, is also expected to be a major focus of the event. The public rollout of iOS 26 is expected later this fall, featuring a Liquid Glass interface and a more minimalistic Camera app design. iOS 26 also includes Messages poll creation in group chats and a new spam text detection tool.
However, the updated version of Siri, unveiled at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference last year, may face repeated delays and not be available until next year.
