Le vendite di Miu Miu aumentano i ricavi complessivi del gruppo Prada
Prada Group reports solid first-half results despite challenging economic conditions
In a recent statement, Patrizio Bertelli, chairman and executive director of Prada Group, announced robust results for the first half of the year. The Group's revenue for the period reached 2.7 billion euros, approximately $3.1 billion.
Every region reported sales growth for Prada Group. Sales in the Americas rose 10%, while Europe, Asia Pacific, Japan, and the Middle East all experienced growth. European sales were impacted by lower tourist spending and tough comparisons, but still showed an overall 7% increase to 728 million euros in H1. Sales in the Middle East grew 24% to 137 million euros, and Asia Pacific saw an 8% increase to 838 million euros. Japan experienced a deceleration in the second quarter, leading to a 6% increase in the first half to 326 million euros.
Retail sales for the Group were 2.5 billion euros, with Miu Miu's growth slower than the previous quarter, registering a 49% overall growth for H1. However, Prada's retail sales fell 3.6% in Q2 and 1.9% in H1.
Despite the positive results, Bertelli cautioned that the short term may continue to face a turbulent economic environment. He emphasised that the structural growth opportunities remain unchanged.
In light of Gianfranco D'Attis's departure, effective June 30, Andrea Guerra will take over as the Group's CEO on an interim basis. D'Attis had been the CEO of Prada Group since 2019. The new permanent CEO has yet to be announced.
Royalties for the first half of fiscal 2025 rose to 67 million euros. No information about Versace was provided in this announcement.
Bertelli's statement highlighted the Group's resilience in the face of challenging economic conditions, demonstrating the strength of the Prada brand and its global appeal.
