HBW Dominates Dresden in Intense Match

In a fast-paced and intense game, the HBW middle block showed a significant impact, leading Dresden by a substantial margin throughout the match. The final score was 42:36, in favour of the HBW.

The game started with the HBW taking an early lead, with Sascha Pfattheicher scoring ten goals in the first 30 minutes. Dresden's Timo Löser managed to score one goal, but the HBW maintained their dominance, with the last goal of the first half being scored by the home team (22:15).

Dresden was reduced to ten men due to a red card (Löser/48.), which seemed to further disadvantage the away team. The HBW, under the guidance of coach André Haber, had a 15:7 lead after a timeout, with Haber stating, "We're starting over."

The HBW kept their composure, while Dresden offered little in attack and struggled in defense. The HBW avoided long weak phases, maintaining an eight-goal lead (20:12/24.). Yonatan Dayan scored two consecutive goals, extending the lead to 26:20, and Pfattheicher set the final score at 42:36.

Dresden remained stubborn throughout the game, and managed to briefly dominate after the break, closing the gap (24:20/34.). However, the HBW quickly regained their momentum, with Tim Matthes scoring a crucial goal, increasing their lead to 5 goals (38:33).

Mateusz Kornecki made three crucial saves for the HBW, while goalkeeper Georg Poehlle hit the post, narrowing the gap at the break (21:15/29.). Csaba Leimeter and Elias Fügel were successful in a critical phase of the game (32:26/46.), but it was not enough to turn the tide in Dresden's favour.

Matthias Flohr, the HBW's coach, adjusted his tactics during the game, and his team responded well, with the team of Flohr scoring six consecutive goals to take a 6:0 lead. The final goal was scored by Heinzelmann (40:34), sealing the deal for the HBW.

Despite Dresden's determination, the HBW's strong performance and strategic adjustments proved to be too much for the away team, resulting in a convincing victory for the home team.
