Il vento del cambiamento spazza via Băc Ninh
In full heart of Bạc Ninh Province, a new wind power project is under consideration. The proposed project, known as the Bạc Ninh 2 wind power plant, is being developed by ENERTRAG Our Website Company Ltd, a subsidiary of the German energy company ENERTRAG.
The Bạc Ninh 2 wind power plant is slated to cover 1,524 hectares in the former Sơn Động District. Nine turbines, each with a capacity ranging from 5.5 MW to 6.3 MW, will power the plant. The towers of these turbines will stand tall at 130-140 metres, while their rotor diameters will stretch 171-182 metres in diameter.
The project, if approved, is expected to generate around 126,340 MWh annually, contributing significantly to Vietnam's renewable energy goals. The estimated investment for this venture is VNĐ2.1 trillion (US$83 million).
ENERTRAG has been active in advancing energy transition not just in Europe, but also in Africa, South America, and Asia. The Bạc Ninh 2 wind power project is a testament to their commitment to sustainable energy solutions.
Beyond the Bạc Ninh 2 wind power plant, ENERTRAG is also involved in the Bạc Giang projects. The specifics of these projects, such as their locations within Bắc Ninh Province, the number of turbines, and the installed capacity, are not yet publicly available. However, it is known that the Bạc Giang 1 project has secured a 120 million euro medium-term loan commitment from a German financial institution.
ENERTRAG, under the national power development plan for 2021-30 with a vision to 2050, aims to contribute about 800 MW of wind power capacity to the national grid from Bắc Ninh Province. The company's activities in Vietnam are not limited to the wind power sector and extend beyond the projects mentioned here.
At this stage, Bạc Ninh is seeking feedback on the proposed Bạc Ninh 2 wind power project. The identity of the individual responsible for the construction of the Bạc Ninh 2 wind farm is not publicly available. As the project progresses, more details are expected to be disclosed. Stay tuned for updates on this exciting development in Vietnam's renewable energy sector.
