Despite the setbacks, both teams are determined to participate in their respective races. Seven riders from Team TotalEnergies were competing at the four-day stage race. They will participate in the time trial of stage 3, a 27.3km route between Chauvigny and Jardres.
The theft in Italy is not the first major bicycle theft at a UCI stage race this week. The incident at Visma-Lease a Bike marks the second such occurrence.
